The Origin of a Mojito

The Mojito is a Cuban highball of white rum, lime, sugar, mint, and soda, long associated with Havana. An older Cuban story traces a mint and lime drink called El Draque, but the tall sparkling version people order now belongs to the city's bars in the twentieth century. The mint is there for its smell, pressed gently rather than torn.
